Here you will find the search bar. You can search the enrollment centre as per your state or Postal PIN code or through the search box.

Search Enrolment centre through State:

If you want to search enrollment centre through the location of the centre then click –  State

Once you click State a form will be opened and you have to fill up it.

In this form please fill up District, Sub-district, village, town and then click on Locate a centre.

Once you click on locate a centre. You will get the list of enrollment centres in which you can apply and get updated your aadhaar card.

This list will consist of multiple centres located in search town and you can select centre whichever is more convenient to you.

Now as you know the enrollment centres, you can take an appointment for your visit to the enrollment centre.

You can take an appointment if you or your family want to apply for a New Aadhaar card. For the Aadhaar card, there is no age restriction. Any age of person can apply for an Aadhaar card.

In case You have already had an Aadhaar card and you want to update your Name or Mobile Number or Address or Date of Birth or Gender ( Male / Female) you can visit the enrollment centre and update it.

If you find that your fingerprints are now not easily readable by fingerprint machine, you can update them in the enrollment centre.

In few cases where especially in very old age it is not possible to take a readable fingerprint then Iris image of Eye of Retina can be used as a biometric.

Please read and check the box of disclousure.

Once the application form is submitted you go ahead with the Book appointment.

As above shown after submitting the application, book an appointment. Select date and slot of appointment.

After confirmation of your booking, you will also get a list of documents that you can use to support your application.

Off line – Physical visit

To take an appointment in the enrollment centre it is better to first visit the nearby enrollment centre as many of the enrolment centres provide appointments offline and you can book it after your personal visit.

I have also noticed that some enrollment centres give appointment token number to the people those come in the morning and then call them Between 10 A.M to 5 P.M in the same centre on the same day.

Once your appointment is confirmed you can visit the enrollment centre with supporting documents.

Be careful to carry all supporting documents and also your mobile phone with you.

List of acceptable supporting documents for verification

1. Indian Passport which should not be expired and be valid. If it is expired then you should first renew it and then apply.

2. PAN Card issued by Income Tax Department.

3. Ration/ PDS Photo Card from your state.

4. Voter ID card issued by Election Commission

5. Indian Driving License

6. Government Photo ID Cards/ Service photo identity card issued by any Public sector unit. It should be issued by an authorized person.

7. NREGS Job Card

8. Photo ID issued by Recognized Educational Institution- Your education Institute Photo ID card can also be used.

9. Arms License if you possess any arm.

10. Bank ATM Card in case it has also been photographed.

11. Credit Card – in case it has been photographed in it.

12. Pensioner Photo Card

13. If you are a freedom fighter you can use Freedom Fighter Photo Card

14. Kissan Photo Passbook

15. CGHS/ ECHS Photo Card

21. Certificate of Identify having a photo in it and issued by Member of Indian Parliament or member of the legislative assembly.

22. Photo id card issued by Gram Pradhan on UIDAI standard certificate format.

24. If you are married then you can provide a Marriage certificate with a photograph

27. Schedule tribes/ schedule caste / another backward class certificate with photograph

28. School Transfer Certificate (TC), containing name and photograph

30. Bank Pass Book having name and photograph

You will get a long PDF file containing all acceptable documents.

Please remember you have to go to the enrolment centre with your original documents. Photocopies of these documents will not be accepted at the enrolment centre.

Your original documents will be scanned at the Aadhaar card enrollment centre and the original documents will be returned back to you.

The process at Enrolment Centre

At the Aadhaar card enrolment centre, you have to fill up the application form and signed it. You should carry all the supporting documents and do not forget to carry a good Pen for filling up the application form. You should also carry your registered mobile no. with you.

At the Aadhaar card enrolment centre, you’re biometric like fingerprints, iris, Photo etc will be taken.

You should not forget to take the Acknowledgement slip which contains a 28 digit Enrolment number.

Enrolment for the Aadhaar cards is free of cost but there are very minimum charges for biometric updation ( Maximum Rs. 100 ) and for getting coloured e-aadhaar card download ( Around Rs. 30/=).

Never forget to register your mobile number as in future there are many updating and other services can be obtained online if a mobile number is registered.

There are occasions when you find that the Enrolment number is not clearly printed on the Acknowledgement slip. In case it happens you should ask the enrolment officer and write on-page of paper.

Status of Application

After submitting the required details and documents, you should check whether your aadhaar card is generated or updated.

At the time of coming from the enrollment centre, you will be provided Acknowledgement Slip which contains enrollment no. in the below format:

 ( 1234/12345/12345) (dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss)

This is a 28 digit enrollment number that will be required to check Aadhar card status.

If you lost your Enrollment Number you can retrieve it through your registered Mobile number.

Now one form will be opened. Here you should fill your Enrollment number and security captcha and click check Status.

In case your Aadhar card is generated, you will get Aadhaar no. in the status report.

After checking your status, now you can download your aadhaar card after clicking this link.

You will get one form in which you can fill up your Enrollment number or Aadhaar number to get an electronic PDF copy of your Aadhaar card. This will be protected by Password.

Once it Aadhaar card is downloaded you cannot open it until unless you put a password in it.

Your password for the opening of Aadhaar card file will be the First 4 letters of your name in CAPITALS and year of birth.

For example, if your name is Vinod Kumar and your date of birth is 1995 then your password will be VINO1995
